Édition 2023
Solidarity, femininity, ecology, media exposure… your project has many arguments to help you find future partners or launch a fundraising campaign. With this in mind, the raid teams have put together a series of tips to help you get started.
Before you start, we encourage you to develop your team’s communication materials as soon as possible. Social networks, blogs, newsletters, flyers, public meetings, press relations… your efforts will enable you to unite a committed community behind your solidarity project.
The more supporters you have, the more media coverage you will receive for your fundraising. This is essential if you want to give your project credibility in the eyes of potential partners, or if you want to make effective use of equity crowdfunding.
The organisers of the Raid des Alizés – Martinique have reserved two exclusive visibility areas on your equipment where you can display the brand of your future partners. Positioned respectively on the left and right sleeves of your outfits, they will enable you to offer local and national media coverage to your two major partners. You’ll also be free to display the logos of your choice on your hydration backpacks, with no limit on the number of sponsors. The first stage of your adventure will be to identify future partners and convince them to support your project.
Targeting potential partners
The media exposure offered by the raid is of interest to many organisations wishing to associate their image with one or more of the values promoted by your project.
As with any good salesperson, identifying these players is the first challenge for your team. The first step will therefore be to target them and contact their managers or communications managers. Since certain players have a better chance of success, we recommend that you give priority to contacting the following organisations:
Preparing a sponsorship file
How do you sell your project? What arguments should you use to convince a partner? What should you offer in return for their commitment? Don’t panic, the raid teams have put together a turnkey sponsorship package that you just need to complete and adapt to suit your prospect.
You’ll find a presentation of the Raid des Alizés – Martinique, a presentation space for your team and your project, a detailed sales pitch and all the rewards you can offer a future partner.
You are of course free to modify the document as you see fit, or simply to use it as inspiration to create your own sponsorship file. Whatever your choice, the raid teams are at your disposal and will be delighted to assist you in your search for funding.
Please note! In order to save on VAT, please tell your partners to send payment directly to TV Sport Events, organisers of the Raid des Alizés – Martinique.

Very much in vogue at the moment, crowdfunding platforms can also enable you to finance all or part of your project from your community. More than its media impact, the solidarity aspect of your project will be an essential asset to the success of this type of funding. Communities already structured around the cause you are supporting will be the first likely to respond favourably to your request.
In addition, don’t hesitate to offer your contributors something in return, even if it’s only symbolic. These are the most effective way of encouraging your visitors to become supporters of the project: signed photos, postcards, raid sports equipment, souvenirs of Martinique, etc.
